Project #7a

Fresno State Accounting/Finance Pathways

K-16 Collaborative is working with Fresno State to support students in the fields of accounting and finance.

This Fresno State Accounting program with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion will support students looking to earn bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration, with Accounting or Finance Options.

Pathway:

Another accounting-centric project, Fresno State Accounting’s program will support students looking to earn bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration, with Accounting or Finance Options. The program will focus on four major steps to ensure student success.

The first step will be a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion through training and then using that to shape curriculum and advising. The second step will be providing clarity and specificity on their associate degree to transfer (ADT) program. The third step will involve creating and offering micro-internships to increase student experience. Lastly, a one-credit course will be offered to students the summer before their enrollment to ease transition into Fresno State.

With so many transfer students making up their program, Fresno State hopes to focus on the value of their unique experience by providing clarity and advising to help students make key choices that will prepare them to transfer into the university.
